Komatsu PC490HRD - High Reach Demolition Excavator Diorama

Client: Komatsu UK Ltd.
Commissioned by Komatsu UK to present to one of their prestigious clients, this 1:50 scale diorama features a model of the PC490HRD High reach demolition excavator, in action demolishing a building, alongside a digger boom and extension boom. The model is a great example of traditional modelling techniques alongside modern 3D printing technology. The main body of the machine was adapted from a diecast scale model of a similar excavator, with newly constructed undercarriage, booms and details, including hand made cable and pipework additions.
